AMSure® Enteral Feeding/Irrigation Kit - Piston Irrigation Kit, Packaged in Dust Cover 30/cs
The AMSure® Enteral Feeding/Irrigation Kit (AS126), manufactured by Amsino International, Inc., is a professional-grade clinical solution specifically engineered for the manual irrigation and bolus feeding of enteral tubes within institutional environments. This streamlined kit is designed to provide a secure system for the delivery of nutritional formulas and flushing fluids to patients with existing gastric access. This unit features a 60 mL piston syringe for durability and controlled pressure during use within a designated clinical space.
This specific configuration is packaged with a protective dust cover, optimized for efficient bedside storage and rapid clinical deployment. The kit includes a 60 mL piston syringe with a catheter tip, a large-bore tip protector, and a high-volume specimen container for fluid management. The non-sterile, latex-free construction provides a high-integrity delivery path that significantly reduces the risk of clinician exposure to gastric contents. The unit comes in a case of 30, providing a comprehensive solution for high-volume patient care in acute care, rehabilitation, and long-term care environments.
Please note: All prices are for cases.
Key Features
Piston Syringe Precision: Functions seamlessly as a manual delivery tool, providing the tactile feedback required for controlled irrigation and bolus feeding.
Protective Dust Cover Packaging: Provides a secure, clean barrier for the syringe and container, ensuring components remain free of environmental debris until use.
High-Visibility Graduations: Facilitates easy, accurate volume verification for the clinician during the preparation and administration of fluids.
Catheter Tip Design: Outfitted with a standard tapered tip to ensure a secure, friction-fit connection with legacy enteral and nasogastric tubes.
Integrated Tip Protector: Provides a stable, clean cover for the syringe tip when not in use, maintaining the hygiene of the administration site.
Ideal Clinical Applications
Controlled Gastric Flushing: Ideal for clinical scenarios requiring steady, manual pressure to clear obstructions in enteral tubes.
Nutritional Administration: Used for the bolus delivery of enteral formulas or medications.
Aspiration of Gastric Contents: Facilitates the checking of residual volumes to assess patient tolerance of enteral feeding.

Contraindications
Do not use this kit for the administration of parenteral (IV) fluids or medications. This device is strictly indicated for enteral irrigation and feeding only.
Do not use this kit if the packaging is visibly soiled or compromised prior to use, as this may introduce contaminants into the enteral circuit.
Warnings & Precautions
Ensure the piston syringe moves smoothly within the barrel before use. Resistance or "sticking" can lead to sudden pressure surges during irrigation, which is a high-risk gastric trauma hazard.
Always ensure all connections are secure. Because this kit utilizes legacy catheter-tip connections, it does not lock like ENFit® systems; monitor closely for accidental disconnection or leakage.
Monitor the patient for signs of gastric distension or discomfort during high-volume manual feeding. Always aspirate for residual volume according to facility protocol before initiating a new feeding cycle.
This device is designed for single-patient, single-use only. Reusing the kit can lead to bacterial growth within the syringe and container, increasing the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
⚠ WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
