This model provides weight readings in both pounds and kilograms (lb/kg) and replaces the integrated thermal printer with a dedicated RS-232 Data Port (X).

Designed for clinics and hospitals moving toward paperless documentation, the data port allows the scale to transmit weight data directly to a computer or a connected vitals monitor (such as a Welch Allyn Connex® Spot Monitor). It retains all the core safety features of the 5002 series, including the 1.5-inch low-profile platform to reduce fall risks and the heavy-duty stainless steel handrail for patient stability. The "B" configuration ensures the unit is powered by a permanent hospital-grade AC line cord, making it ideal for high-volume stationary use in triage or intake bays while still remaining mobile on its heavy-duty rubber wheels.
