The Medical Action IV Starter Kit is a sterile, single-use convenience kit designed to standardize peripheral IV insertion and improve clinical efficiency. By consolidating all necessary prep and dressing components into a single, compact package, it reduces the time spent gathering individual supplies and minimizes the risk of touch-contamination during setup.

The kit features high-performance 3M™ brand components, including Transpore™ Tape for securement and a Tegaderm® 2.735" x 2.75" Transparent Dressing, which allows for continuous visual monitoring of the insertion site without removing the bandage. This specific configuration includes the larger 1.5mL ChloraPrep® Frepp® Applicator, which provides expanded antiseptic coverage for the reduction of catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSIs).
