Enfit™ One-Care 1mL Enteral Syringes, 30/bx

Please note: All prices are for boxes.

The One-Care™ Enteral Syringe (2021) is a precision-engineered safety device designed for the delivery of enteral nutrition, hydration, and medication. Fully compliant with ISO 80369-3 standards, this syringe (2021) features a dedicated ENFit™ connector specifically designed to eliminate the risk of accidental misconnections between enteral and parenteral (IV) systems. The unique locking mechanism ensures that the syringe can only connect to ENFit™ compatible feeding tubes and ports, enhancing patient safety across all care settings.

Each syringe (2021) is manufactured with a clear barrel and bold, permanent graduations to allow for the highly accurate measurement of fluids. The smooth plunger action provides consistent tactile feedback, which is essential for controlled bolus feeding and the administration of medications that require precise dosing. These syringes are provided in a non-sterile format and are constructed from medical-grade materials that do not contain natural rubber latex or harmful phthalates.

Key Features

  • ISO 80369-3 ENFit™ Compliance: Functions seamlessly as a dedicated enteral-only connector to prevent accidental misconnections with other clinical delivery systems.
  • Low-Dose Accuracy Design: Provides high-precision measurement for volumes under 1 mL to ensure exact medication titration.
  • High-Visibility Barrel and Graduations: Facilitates easy, accurate volume verification for the clinician during dosage preparation and administration.
  • Smooth Plunger Movement: Outfitted with a high-quality gasket to ensure consistent, controlled delivery of medications and fluids.
  • Latex-Free Construction: Provides a stable, safe delivery tool for patients with sensitivities to natural rubber latex.

Ideal Clinical Applications

  • NICU and Pediatric Medication Delivery: Optimized for the high-precision administration of oral and enteral medications for neonatal and infant patients.
  • Institutional Enteral Nutrition Support: Specifically indicated for the delivery of small-volume liquid supplements or vitamins into an existing enteral circuit.
  • Closed-System Medication Protocols: Provides a secure, locking connection for delivering medications via nasogastric or gastrostomy tubes without the risk of separation.
  • Rehabilitation Support: Used in clinical settings to assist with the precise pharmaceutical management of patients with swallowing or neurological impairments.
  • Patient Safety Compliance: The ENFit™ feature allows for safer, more efficient clinical workflows by eliminating the risk of connection to IV access ports.

Contraindications

Do not use this syringe for the administration of intravenous (IV) fluids or medications. The ENFit™ design is strictly indicated for enteral use only to prevent lethal misconnection errors.

Do not use this syringe if the sterile packaging is breached or damaged, as this compromises the safety of the patient.

Warnings & Precautions

This syringe (2021) is only compatible with ENFit™ feeding tubes and ports. Attempting to bypass the safety connector with non-compatible adapters can compromise the integrity of the connection and increase the risk of contamination.

Ensure the ENFit™ threads are fully engaged and locked before initiating the delivery of fluids. A loose connection is a high-risk leakage and dosage loss hazard.

Always ensure the barrel is inspected for air bubbles before administration, especially in neonatal and pediatric applications where precise volume is required.

Monitor the syringe for any cracks or resistance in the plunger. If the barrel shows signs of stress or the plunger becomes difficult to depress, the unit must be replaced immediately to maintain the safety integrity of the delivery.

This device is designed for single-use only. Reusing the syringe can lead to cross-contamination, bacterial growth within the tip, and a loss of dosage accuracy, increasing the risk of patient harm.
