The 3M™ Scotchcast™ Soft Cast Casting Tape in the 2-inch width is a premium semi-rigid fiberglass casting material designed for large-limb immobilization, such as adult long-arm or lower-leg (boot) applications. Unlike traditional rigid fiberglass, this tape remains flexible after it is fully cured, allowing for "functional" immobilization. This helps maintain muscle tone and reduce joint stiffness by permitting limited movement while still providing essential support for stable fractures or sprains. Its 2-inch width provides maximum coverage for large surface areas, making it highly efficient for clinicians to apply while ensuring the "soft-edge" comfort that prevents skin irritation at the cast's boundaries.
