The Solventum 3M™ Snap™ Therapy System Bridge Dressing Kit (SKU BKTF14X11/10) is a sterile, single-use NPWT interface designed to facilitate "bridging"—the clinical technique of placing the therapy port away from the actual wound bed. This kit features a 14cm x 11cm hydrocolloid dressing base and an 8cm x 8cm reticulated open-cell foam filler. Engineered for use with the mechanically powered Snap™ Therapy Cartridge, this system delivers a consistent -125mmHg of suction without the need for batteries or electronic pumps. The integrated bridge allows clinicians to relocate the tubing connection to a more accessible or comfortable anatomical site, which is particularly beneficial for wounds located on weight-bearing surfaces or areas where clothing friction might disrupt the seal.
Key Features
- Integrated Bridge Design: Enables a simplified, one-step application that moves the connection port up to 14cm away from the wound, preventing direct pressure on the injury and improving patient comfort.
- 14cm x 11cm Hydrocolloid Base: Provides a skin-friendly, moisture-resistant, and airtight seal that protects periwound skin while remaining flexible enough for ambulatory patients.
- 8cm x 8cm Reticulated Open-Cell Foam: Ensures uniform distribution of negative pressure across the wound bed, facilitating efficient exudate removal and stimulating granulation tissue.
- Battery-Free Mechanical Suction: Optimized for the Snap™ system's proprietary spring-mechanism, offering a silent, discreet, and lightweight alternative to traditional, heavy NPWT hardware.
- Pre-Attached Tubing with Check Valve: Includes integrated tubing designed to prevent fluid backflow, ensuring the vacuum remains stable even when the patient is moving or changing positions.
Ideal Clinical Applications
- Plantar Surface Diabetic Foot Ulcers: The bridge allows the port to be moved from the bottom of the foot to the side of the ankle, enabling the patient to wear offloading boots or specialized footwear without walking on the connection.
- Heel and Bony Prominences: Facilitates more reliable sealing in difficult-to-dress areas by bridging the port to a flatter, more stable skin surface.
- Active Home-Care Patients: The "canister-less" and silent design is ideal for patients who require NPWT but wish to maintain a high level of daily activity and social independence.
- Venous Leg Ulcers (VLUs): Provides a low-profile solution for lower extremity wounds that can be easily concealed under standard clothing or compression wraps.
- Chronic Pressure Injuries: Ideal for Stage II–IV pressure ulcers where the bridge can move the port away from areas prone to shear or moisture, such as the sacral region.

Important Safety Information
MRI Safety Status: The Snap™ Therapy Cartridge is MRI Unsafe. The cartridge must be disconnected and removed from the patient before they enter an MRI suite.
24-Hour Active Therapy Rule: Do not leave the Snap™ dressing in place for more than 24 hours without active negative pressure. If suction is lost (red indicator on the cartridge is visible), the dressing must be replaced immediately to avoid clinical complications.
Submergence Warning: While patients may shower with the dressing in place (after disconnecting the cartridge), the dressing and components must not be submerged in water (e.g., swimming or baths).
Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Contraindication: The Snap™ cartridge and associated hardware are not approved for use in Hyperbaric Oxygen chambers due to the risk of fire and device failure.
Single-Patient Use: All components are intended for single-patient use only to prevent cross-contamination; do not attempt to re-sterilize.
