This kit is strictly for single-use only. Do not use the BIOPATCH® protective disk on patients with a known sensitivity to chlorhexidine gluconate. Do not use on premature infants or infants under two months of age, as the use of CHG may cause irritation or chemical burns. Do not attempt to re-sterilize any individual components.
Maintain a strict aseptic technique throughout the dressing change process. Ensure the ChloraPrep® solution is completely air-dried before applying the BIOPATCH® and Tegaderm® dressing to ensure proper adhesion and prevent skin irritation. If the patient develops signs of a localized skin reaction or systemic infection, remove the dressing and follow facility protocols for site complications. Dispose of all used components in a biohazard container immediately after use.
