Central Line Dressing Change Kit - Tegaderm® 1626, Transpore™ Tape, 20/cs

The Medical Action Central Line Dressing Change Kit with Tegaderm® is a sterile, single-use solution designed to facilitate aseptic technique during the maintenance of central venous catheter sites. By providing a standardized selection of clinical components in one convenient tray, this kit helps healthcare providers maintain a sterile field and minimize the risk of catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSIs). The high-performance transparent dressing and securement tape included are specifically selected to ensure site stability and continuous visualization of the insertion area.

Please note: All prices are for cases.

Key Features

Sterile Aseptic Design: Provides all necessary components in a single sterile tray to promote best practices in infection control and reduce procedural setup time.

Tegaderm® 1626 Transparent Dressing: Features a breathable, water-resistant film that protects the site from external contaminants while allowing for clear monitoring of the catheter site.

Secure Adhesion: Includes Transpore™ tape, designed to be easy to tear and highly reliable for the securement of catheters, tubing, and secondary dressings.

Standardized Inventory: Consolidates multiple SKUs into a single kit, simplifying inventory management and ensuring clinicians have consistent tools for every dressing change.

Nitrile Safety Gloves: Includes a pair of powder-free nitrile gloves to eliminate the risk of latex-related allergic reactions for both patients and clinicians.

Ideal Clinical Applications

Central Line Maintenance: Designed for the routine cleaning and re-dressing of central venous access devices in clinical or home health environments.

PICC Line Care: Ideal for the sterile maintenance and securement of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters.

Contraindications
This kit is strictly for single-use only. Do not attempt to re-use or re-sterilize any individual components, as this significantly increases the risk of infection and may result in mechanical failure of adhesives or securement devices. Do not use if the sterile packaging is damaged or compromised prior to use.

Precautions & Warnings
Always perform dressing changes using aseptic technique and wear the provided mask and gloves as directed by facility protocol. If the Tegaderm® dressing becomes wet, soiled, or loose, it must be replaced immediately to maintain the sterile barrier. Ensure the skin is completely dry after antiseptic application before applying the transparent dressing to prevent skin irritation and ensure proper adhesion.
