OPSITE◊ Post-Op Composite Dressing - 2½" x 2", 100/bx

OPSITE◊ Post-Op Visible (Smith & Nephew) is an innovative composite dressing designed specifically for the management of acute wounds and surgical incisions. This dressing features a unique lattice-structure absorbent foam pad that allows for continuous monitoring of the wound bed and periwound skin without the need to remove the dressing. By providing a clear view of the site, OPSITE◊ Post-Op Visible helps reduce unnecessary dressing changes, thereby minimizing the risk of wound disturbance and potential surgical site infections (SSIs).

OPSITE◊ Post-Op Visible is topped with the highly permeable REACTIC◊ film, which acts as a waterproof and bacterial barrier while allowing for high levels of moisture vapor transmission. This prevents the accumulation of fluid under the dressing and reduces the risk of maceration. OPSITE◊ Post-Op Visible's low-adherent wound contact layer ensures that the dressing does not stick to the wound or staples, providing a comfortable and atraumatic experience for the patient during removal.

Please note: All prices are for boxes.

Key Features

REACTIC◊ Film Technology: Features a unique molecular structure that reacts to moisture, increasing permeability when exudate is present to keep the skin dry and secure.

Waterproof and Bacterial Barrier: Allows patients to maintain hygiene through showering while protecting the wound from external contaminants and bacteria.

High Absorbency Pad: Effectively manages light to moderate exudate levels, keeping the fluid away from the wound bed.

Low-Adherent Contact Layer: Minimizes pain and tissue damage during dressing changes by ensuring the pad does not adhere to the healing tissue.

Transparent Border: Allows for easy monitoring of the periwound area for signs of infection or irritation without removing the dressing.

Highly Conformable: The flexible film and rounded corners ensure the dressing stays in place even on difficult anatomical contours or areas of high movement.

Ideal Clinical Applications

Post-Operative Surgical Wounds: Ideal for clean, sutured, or stapled surgical incisions.

Lacerations and Abrasions: Provides excellent protection and fluid management for minor traumatic wounds.

Minor Cuts and Punctures: Suitable for small outpatient procedures and everyday wound care.

Low to Moderately Exuding Wounds: Optimized for wounds where primary closure has been achieved but protection and light absorption are required.

Contraindications: Do not use on patients with a known sensitivity to acrylic-based adhesives.

Clinical Monitoring: The wound should be inspected regularly. If the pad becomes saturated or signs of clinical infection appear (such as fever, pain, redness, or swelling), the dressing should be changed and the wound evaluated by a healthcare professional.

Single Use Only: This product is for single use only. Do not reuse or resterilize, as this increases the risk of cross-contamination and compromises the adhesive integrity of the dressing.
