OPSITE◊ Post-Op Composite Dressing, Visible - 15cm x 10m, 20/bx, 10 bx/cs
OPSITE◊ Post-Op Visible (Smith & Nephew) is an innovative composite dressing designed specifically for the management of acute wounds and surgical incisions. This dressing features a unique lattice-structure absorbent foam pad that allows for continuous monitoring of the wound bed and periwound skin without the need to remove the dressing. By providing a clear view of the site, OPSITE◊ Post-Op Visible helps reduce unnecessary dressing changes, thereby minimizing the risk of wound disturbance and potential surgical site infections (SSIs).
OPSITE◊ Post-Op Visible is topped with the highly permeable REACTIC◊ film, which acts as a waterproof and bacterial barrier while allowing for high levels of moisture vapor transmission. This prevents the accumulation of fluid under the dressing and reduces the risk of maceration. OPSITE◊ Post-Op Visible's low-adherent wound contact layer ensures that the dressing does not stick to the wound or staples, providing a comfortable and atraumatic experience for the patient during removal.
Please note: All prices are for cases.
Key Features
Visible Lattice Pad: Features a specialized honeycomb design that allows clinicians to monitor the wound, exudate levels, and signs of infection without removing the dressing.
REACTIC™ Film Technology: Highly breathable film that reacts to moisture, increasing its permeability to keep the skin dry and secure.
Waterproof and Bacterial Barrier: Enables patients to shower while protecting the wound from external contaminants and microorganisms.
Reduced Dressing Changes: By allowing for visual inspection, the dressing can stay in place for longer, supporting undisturbed healing and cost-effectiveness.
Low-Adherent Contact Layer: Designed to be gentle on healing tissue, sutures, and staples to minimize pain during changes.
Flexible and Conformable: Contours easily to body movements and anatomical curves, maintaining a secure seal even in high-mobility areas.
Ideal Clinical Applications
Post-Operative Surgical Wounds: Ideal for sutured or stapled incisions where frequent monitoring is required.
Total Joint Replacements: Specifically useful for orthopedic sites where assessing skin integrity and wound status is critical.
Lacerations and Minor Trauma: Provides protection and visibility for acute wounds with light to moderate drainage.
Low to Moderately Exuding Wounds: Optimized for wounds requiring a balance of absorption and moisture vapor transmission.

Contraindications: Do not use on patients with a known sensitivity to acrylic-based adhesives.
Clinical Monitoring: The wound should be inspected regularly. If the pad becomes saturated or signs of clinical infection appear (such as fever, pain, redness, or swelling), the dressing should be changed and the wound evaluated by a healthcare professional.
Single Use Only: This product is for single use only. Do not reuse or resterilize, as this increases the risk of cross-contamination and compromises the adhesive integrity of the dressing.
