Contraindications

Do not use this kit for the administration of parenteral (IV) fluids or medications. This device is strictly indicated for enteral irrigation and feeding only.

Do not use this kit if the packaging is visibly soiled or compromised prior to use, as this may introduce contaminants into the enteral circuit.

Warnings & Precautions

Always apply gentle, steady pressure when depressing the plunger. Forceful irrigation can cause rapid pressure increases in the gastric environment, posing a risk of mucosal trauma or tube displacement.

This is a single-patient, single-use device. Reusing the kit (AS127) across multiple patients or beyond the recommended procedure time significantly increases the risk of cross-contamination and bacterial growth within the syringe and container.

Check the security of the catheter tip connection frequently. This kit (AS127) utilizes legacy tapered connections rather than ENFit® locking connectors; therefore, it is susceptible to accidental disconnection if the tube is pulled or snagged.

Ensure the 500 mL container is placed on a level surface or secured within the kit's tray during use to prevent spills of nutritional formula or irrigation fluids.
