This device is strictly for single-use only. Do not attempt to re-use or re-sterilize, as this increases the risk of cross-contamination and may result in the mechanical failure of the safety mechanism. Do not use for any application other than those for which the device is specifically indicated. Not intended for use with high-pressure injection systems.
Activation of the safety feature must be performed using a one-handed technique by pressing the sheath against a flat surface; never use a free hand to press the sheath over the needle. Visual and audible confirmation that the needle is fully engaged in the protection sheath is required before disposal. Do not use if the individual sterile packaging is damaged or opened prior to use. Always dispose of the entire device in an approved sharps container immediately after engaging the safety feature according to facility protocol and NIOSH/CDC recommendations.
