3M™ Snap™ Therapy System - Bridge Dressing Kit, Foam, SecurRing™ Hydrocolloid, 14 cm x 11 cm, 10/cs

Please note: All prices are for cases.

The Solventum 3M™ Snap™ Therapy System Bridge Dressing Kit (SKU BKTF14X11S/10) is a specialized NPWT interface designed to facilitate "bridging"—the clinical practice of placing the therapy port away from the actual wound site. This kit features a 14cm x 11cm hydrocolloid dressing and a 3M™ Snap™ SecurRing™ Hydrocolloid Skin Barrier, which is specifically engineered to create a robust, airtight seal on uneven skin surfaces and challenging anatomical contours. By utilizing a 14cm bridge, clinicians can move the connection point and the mechanically powered Snap™ cartridge to a location where it will not cause pressure or discomfort to the patient (such as moving the port from the plantar surface of the foot to the ankle).

Key Features

  • SecurRing™ Hydrocolloid Technology: Includes a specialized skin barrier ring that provides superior adhesion and sealing on irregular body contours, reducing the need for additional drapes or "picture-framing" with adhesive strips.
  • Integrated Bridge Design: The pre-constructed bridge allows for a one-step application that redirects negative pressure from the wound bed to a more convenient and comfortable port location.
  • 8cm x 8cm Reticulated Open-Cell Foam: The high-porosity foam interface ensures uniform distribution of the -125mmHg pressure across the wound while facilitating the efficient removal of exudate.
  • Hydrocolloid Dressing Base: The 14cm x 11cm primary dressing is formulated to be gentle on periwound skin, maintaining a secure seal even in the presence of moisture or perspiration.
  • Battery-Free Mechanical Suction: Optimized for use with the Snap™ Therapy Cartridge, which utilizes a spring-mechanism to provide silent, continuous therapy without the need for electronic components or heavy pumps.

Ideal Clinical Applications

  • Difficult Anatomical Contours: Ideal for wounds on the heel, elbow, or sacrum where the SecurRing™ helps maintain a vacuum seal on curved or bony surfaces.
  • Ambulatory Patient Care: Designed for patients who are active and require a low-profile, "canister-less" system that can be hidden under socks or trousers.
  • Chronic and Acute Lower Extremity Wounds: Specifically indicated for venous leg ulcers and traumatic wounds where bridging the port away from clothing friction points is desired.
  • Post-Surgical Incision Management: Used to protect high-risk incisions in areas where standard flat dressings would struggle to maintain a seal due to joint movement.
  • Diabetic Foot Ulcers (Plantar Surface): The "bridge" is essential for offloading pressure; it allows the therapy port to be positioned on the side of the foot or ankle so the patient does not walk directly on the connection

Important Safety Information

MRI Safety Status: The Snap™ Therapy Cartridge is MRI Unsafe. It must be disconnected and removed from the patient before they enter an MRI suite.

The 24-Hour Active Therapy Rule: The Snap™ dressing must never remain in place for more than 24 hours without active negative pressure. If the cartridge red indicator is visible, suction must be restored or the dressing removed to avoid clinical complications.

Submergence Warning: Patients may shower with the dressing in place, but the system must not be submerged in water (e.g., bathtubs, swimming pools, or hot tubs).

Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Contraindication: The Snap™ cartridge and related hardware are not approved for use inside a Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber.

Single-Patient Use: Components are sterile and intended for single patient use only; do not re-sterilize or reuse foam or hydrocolloid components.
