The inclusion of a 12-foot cord and a "dummy" plug ensures that the nurse call system remains active and functional, even when a fall monitor is not currently plugged in, by preventing false "cable out" alarms.

Contraindications: Do not use if the pin configuration (D51M/T51F) does not match the facility’s wall jack or bed cable. Do not use if the dummy plug is missing and the nurse call system requires it to prevent false alarms.
