The Posey® SecureSleeve® Multi-Purpose Sleeve Device is a specialized soft-tissue immobilizer designed to limit limb movement without the use of hard, rigid materials. These sleeves are primarily used in clinical environments to protect IV sites, surgical wounds, and medical tubing (such as NG or feeding tubes) from patient interference. The device features a unique interior filling of flame-retardant polystyrene beads, which provide a firm yet comfortable barrier that discourages flexion of the joint. By acting as a "gentle reminder" to the patient, the SecureSleeve helps prevent accidental extubation or catheter dislodgment while maintaining a significantly higher level of comfort than a traditional stay-based splint.
